Risella Puuroriisi, Rice Porridge

Finland's most popular porridge rice, Risella Porridge Rice, is a round short-grained rice type that you can use to make the perfect rice porridge. Risella uses a unique variety of rice for this product, which makes the rice behave superior when making porridge and as a result you get a wonderfully creamy and thick rice porridge that is beautifully white. Porridge rice is also suitable for: Christmas porridge, Karelian pies, casserole dishes (carrot casserole), cabbage rolls, and desserts. Risella porridge rice can also be used to prepare sushi. Risella's porridge rice is gluten-free.

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS: X-MAS PORRIDGE FOR 4: 2 dl water, 1 L milk and 2 dl porridge rice + 0,5 tsp salt. Boil 2 dl water in a Teflon or a porridge pot, add 2 dl Porridge rice and about 0.5 tsp salt. Let boil for a couple of minutes until the water is absorbed into the rice. Add a litre of milk and cook slowly under the lid, stirring occasionally for about 40 minutes.

SIDE DISHES 4 servings: 7 dl water, 3 dl porridge rice + salt 0,5 teaspoons. Add rice and salt to boiling water. Cook for 15-20 min. Stir in between. "
